On Every Wall EP The boys take you through the new EP ... NOWHERE TO FALL ... Al: "The song's been written for about a year. The words came after I watched Alan Bleasdale's 'Boys From The Blackstuff' again, on dvd ... especially the episode 'George's Last Ride' - it's special stuff. I just identified the struggle with my childhood, loads' love but not much money. It's a heart-breaking melody too and that intro just sets the scene." EASY DOES IT ... Phil: "I got the melody idea from the Travis song 'Sing'. The words are about most of my old bands and how every time I'd ask them to play something original, it was just met with indifference." GONE CRAZY ... Al: "I lost patience with everything around me this summer and decided to nail a few community groups to the cross. Look around you! Everything is upside down - "you can only write what you see", my hero Woody Guthrie said. Musically, just four to the floor rock n' roll music with nods to The Clash and Oasis." THE GHOST OF JAMES MACKENZIE ... The Warms: "The melody and finger-picking style came from listening to Springsteen's 'Tom Joad' album ... Al's lyrics put me in mind of a thunder storm and I just tried to capture an atmosphere." BUY 'ON EVERY WALL' RIGHT NOW - CLICK HERE
